The Batesville School District is now accepting applications for a Director of Bands Position. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual ready to work in a team and advance our students. Applicants with all areas of instrumental expertise will be considered, but a woodwind specialist is preferred. 

Job Duties include but are not limited to:  

• Oversee all financial and logistical aspects of the 6-12 program 
• Oversee all assets and inventory for the program 
• Team teach all beginning band classes
• Lead 7th & 8th grade band classes and activities 
• Assist the High School Marching Program including all contests, home games, some away games, pep rallies, parades, etc. 
• Assist the High School Concert Ensemble(s) 
• Assist the High School Jazz Program 
• Additional Duties may be requested upon hire 

Batesville is also breaking ground this summer on a brand new Fine Arts Facility to include: 2 very generous sized band rooms(fitted with all needed storage, offices, and any needed extra space), as well as a 1500+ seat auditorium with a large stage. 

Education:

An Arkansas Teaching License certified in Instrumental Music Education is required
